Family,
Another great week in Montreal! I'm convinced that I'm never
going to leave this island, and I'm more than okay with that. Here are some
highlights.
We ate a lot more African food this week. We had more Jolaf
rice, Foofoo, among other things. I'm absolutely loving the African culture;
they are all super amazing and welcoming.

We're teaching a man named Gabriel who is super solid. We went
over to his apartment the other day, and we talked about the Book of Mormon a little
more in detail. It was cool to see how much he understood, and how prepared he
was to learn about it! The concept made complete sense to him, and he was
excited to read more of it! He told us he'd finish it in 2 weeks, and we thought
he was exaggerating, but he's been doing well so far! He'll be preparing to be
baptized October 27th. We're excited!

Conference was awesome! Our whole district was freaking out
about the temple announced in Lagos, Nigeria; our members are incredibly
excited. It was fun to show those we are teaching the living Prophet and Apostles
in action. It's always amazing to listen to their voices; each time I do it
always confirms my testimony that they are called of God, and that this church
is in His hands. It was an amazing weekend!
Again, it was a great week. This upcoming week will be a bit
busy, but it'll be fun! We will be driving to Quebec City tonight, and I'm
excited to go up there for the first time (on the mission).
I love you all so much, have a splendid week.
Elder James
