Montréal East Week 1

We got to spend the day with Elder Eggenberger, who went home to get surgery.
He'll be back soon though!

It's been an interesting week! It was sad saying goodbye to everyone in Kirkland after only being there for 1 transfer, but I'm already coming to love this area a lot. We're teaching tons of Nigerians which is so fun! They're awesome! They're teaching us a bit of their Nigerian Dialect, Yoruba, which is pretty interesting. They're such awesome people! Here are some highlights of my week!

3 of my companions going into the airport

Saying goodbye to Elder Amichia
Had to say goodbye to a lot of people this past week, which is always difficult, but something you get used to in the mission. Last week we also went to the airport to drop off the missionaries going home, and that was pretty sad since Elder Amichia, Elder Sorenson, and Elder Colunga (all previous companions) were going home. It was cool to be with them for a little bit before they went home, though

Eating Jolaf Rice with a Nigerian family (Taiwo is the one in the red shirt)

We've been teaching a LOT of Nigerians in this area. They are so awesome! I've been eating a little Nigerian food recently, and it's super good. We had Jolaf rice with a member the other day which was delicious. We're having more appointments to eat with some members this week, so we'll see what they have in store!

Ian, a super cool recent convert we were working with

We're teaching this guy named Taiwo, and he's super cool. We taught about the Gospel of Jesus Christ to him this past Sunday, and he understood everything really well. It motivated him a lot to get baptized soon! It was amazing to see that he's willing to make lots of changes in his life to keep the commandments. He has a super busy job that hasn't allowed him to come to church on Sunday, but he's going to quit it soon so that he can keep the Sabbath holy! He said that he knew that if he quit his job to keep the commandments, that the Lord would bless him with a better job. It was awesome to see his faith!

Saying goodbye to Neil
Anyway, it's been a great week; I'm super happy to be back on the east side of Montréal! Can't believe I'm here again!!

Saying goodbye to Ron
I love you all so much, I hope you have a great week!
