Montréal-Est Week 12

Montréal-Est District
Man is it getting hot... When I got called to Canada, I was expecting the summer to be a cool, wonderful 25 degrees max, but boy was I wrong! During these past few days it hit over 41 degrees (about 106 Fahrenheit); it's been crazy! We were talking about it yesterday, and we realized that in about 6 months, the temperature went from -45 to 41, an 86-degree difference (about 155 degree difference in Fahrenheit)! Super crazy! It has been a blessing to be able to really appreciate being cool! Just like 2 Nephi 11 states, "For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things." It's been an interesting experience!

Exchanges with Elder Cash
Notwithstanding the heat, we had a pretty great week! We've been seeing a lot of miracles, and the Lord has been helping us a TON as we've been trying to keep track of and re-find many investigators that have disappeared. Just the other day we were walking down the street, and we noticed someone staring at us a little more than usual. So of course, we talked to him, and it turned out it was an investigator that completely disappeared around 5 months ago! I had heard lots about him from the Elders before me, and apparently, he's really solid. We were finally able to get in contact with him! We are excited to start teaching him again.

Canada Day was on Sunday, which, in Quebec is MOVING DAY! It was actually extremely weird, people here just move for fun every year on Canada Day. We had SO many people asking us to help them move, and as we were walking around the city, there were trucks and people moving furniture EVERYWHERE. People sometimes even just move to the building across the street for no reason. It was super funny to see!

Elder Webb's "funeral" before leaving the mission
I got to go on exchanges with Elder Cash; his last exchange before he goes home. It was really fun, and I was glad to learn a little bit more from such a great missionary before he goes home. He's going to do so well—I'm very excited for him!

This picture was texted to us this week from
someone who saw the elders out and about!
We got our transfer calls on Saturday, and we're both staying! Elder Wilson will be my FIRST 2 transfer companion besides my trainer. It's going to be such a great transfer, we're super excited to spend it together!

I love you all so much, and I hope you're having a good summer. Have a great week!

Elder James
