| We can now share Elder Wilson's sunglasses! |
First week of the transfer! It's been an interesting experience being with someone for MORE than 6 weeks, but it has been really awesome! I'm so used to having a new companion so often, that it feels weird to start out a transfer already knowing my companion! It's been fun though and makes it much easier when we don't have to focus too much on getting unified. It's been perfect! We're finally getting used to the heat as well, it's still been in the upper 30's and fairly humid, but it feels fresh! Anyway, here are some highlights from the week.

| Haitian food with Odette and Frere Saint-Louis! |
Odette surprised us with Haitian food again! The way they do chicken is SUPER good. It's basically the same way you do Griot, but you don't fry it. Then you pour the sauce that is made from the juices back all ov er the chicken and fried plantains. It's SOOO good. I don't know what we'd do without Haitian food!
We saw a cool miracle with Jhonel the other day as well. We went to visit someone who ended up not being home, so we started leaving. As we were going away, Jhonel just told us we HAD to go talk to some kid walking away. So, we ran over there and talked to him. He was super cool! When we met with him a few days later, he invited two of his friends to listen to us as well! It was amazing; Jhonel always has the coolest spiritual promptings and experiences. For example, one day he prayed to get a belt, and literally when he got to work, his boss just randomly gave him a belt. He's super awesome! When Jhonel tells you to do something, you do it!
We also had a lesson with an investigator the other day that didn't feel super solid at all. She was being a little sassy, and when we invited her to church she was acting flippant about it, but said she'd come; we totally expected her not to. But, this past Sunday, she showed up like 45 minutes early! It was so amazing! She was also a ton nicer and had a great experience. It was cool to see that you really should never judge, because you can never truly understand where someone is coming from, even when it seems clear!
We had a funny experience yesterday. When we got to our car, everything had been gone through and there was stuff everywhere! Someone broke in! It was funny, though—they must have been mad that there was nothing to steal other than Book of Mormons and other pamphlets, so they just broke Elder Wilson's sunglasses in half! It was pretty comical!
It’s been an awesome week. We've been having so many cool experiences, and I'm super excited to stay with Elder Wilson! It'll be a powerful transfer!
Love you all so much, have a great week!
Elder James
